A Paris Wedding Weekend Worthy of Vanity Fair
An intimate, cinematic celebration with Katherine & Michel
When hopeless romantics Katherine and Michel dreamed of their wedding, they imagined a weekend in Paris filled with ease, beauty, and the kind of iconic moments that feel straight out of a magazine spread. They wanted intimacy. They wanted emotion. They wanted to be fully present with the small circle of people they love most.
And for me as their photographer, this is exactly the type of experience I create:
luxury vibes, zero stress, and clear communication every step of the way, so couples can simply live their day while I turn it into an editorial story.
This August celebration, now featured in Vanity Fair (December 2025), was the perfect example of what happens when trust, collaboration, and creativity come together.
Below is the full wedding weekend, section by section, as it unfolded.
Sunset Photoshoot by the Eiffel Tower
Before joining their guests for the evening, Katherine and Michel started their wedding weekend in the most Parisian way possible, a private couple’s photoshoot near the Eiffel Tower.
The goal wasn’t stiff poses or rushed portraits. It was to warm up, have fun, and settle into the weekend. With the iron lattice of the Eiffel Tower rising behind them, the two slipped easily into moments of laughter, softness, and anticipation for the days ahead.
This is always how I start:
We collaborate. I guide. You express yourselves. Iconic moments come naturally.
Their chemistry made the images effortless, beautiful cinematic frames that set the tone for everything to come.
Rehearsal Dinner Cruise Along the Seine
As the sun dropped, Katherine and Michel boarded a private boat with the people closest to them. It was an evening that felt more like a scene from a film than a rehearsal dinner.
Guests mingled on the deck as Paris drifted by, the Louvre glowing gold, Notre-Dame rising in the distance, bridges arching overhead. Inside, an elegant dinner was set, leading into heartfelt toasts and stories that had everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure.
And then, of course, a champagne toast on the open deck while the Eiffel Tower began to sparkle. Music, dancing, warm Parisian air… it was the kind of magic that can’t be staged.
Throughout the night, I floated between candid moments and elevated editorial shots, ensuring everything felt organic while still capturing the luxury of the evening.
Wedding Day Morning at Hôtel Marignan Paris
Katherine and Michel chose Hôtel Marignan Paris, a stunning five-star hotel on the Champs-Élysées, as the setting for their micro wedding. With its rooftop Eiffel Tower suite, it felt intimate but grand—perfect for their 15–20 guests.
Quiet Moments & A First Look with Her Parents
The day began with calm, connection, and intentional moments.
In the suite, Katherine prepared for the ceremony surrounded by soft light and quiet anticipation. One of the most emotional parts of the morning was her first look with her parents, tender, heartfelt, full of the weight and joy of what the day meant.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Michel and the guys were gathered in the hotel’s chic bar. I moved between both spaces throughout the morning, capturing the unique energy of each—her softness, his anticipation, the beautiful contrast of two people preparing to meet at the altar.
This is where communication truly matters. We planned these transitions carefully beforehand, ensuring everything flowed naturally so they never felt rushed.
A Romantic Wedding Ceremony Overlooking the Eiffel Tower
The ceremony was held on the rooftop, where the Eiffel Tower rose behind them like a perfectly placed character in their story.
It was emotional, intimate, and full of meaning.
No grand production, just real love, spoken vows, and the soft hum of Paris below.
Their guests gathered around them, close enough to feel every word. Katherine’s dress moved with the breeze; Michel couldn’t take his eyes off her. It was the definition of romantic minimalism.
Belkaci Films captured the moment on Super 8, adding a nostalgic, dreamy layer to the entire experience. The footage paired with the editorial photos created something truly timeless.
Paris Street Portraits — The City is Their Canvas
After the ceremony, we stepped into the streets for some cinematic portraits. This is one of my favorite parts of any Paris wedding day, letting the city become the backdrop, the soundtrack, and the energy of the images.
We wandered near the Champs-Élysées, found quiet corners and dramatic architecture, and let the natural joy of “Just Married in Paris” lead the way.
These weren’t stiff or overly posed shots.
They were editorial, elegant, fashion-forward, and filled with personality.
This is where trust blends with creativity, when couples feel comfortable, the camera becomes invisible, and magic happens.
Rooftop Celebration: Champagne Tower + Live Music
The evening of this rooftop Paris wedding ended in pure magic atop a luxurious suite, featuring a sparkling champagne tower, live music, and an atmosphere where time stood still amid Paris’s glittering skyline. Guests danced, laughed, and cherished every moment, perfectly captured by the best Paris wedding photographer. From lots of bubbles to lots of laughs with friends, this night was one to absolutely remember.
My Approach: Communication, Collaboration, and Cinematic Storytelling
Katherine and Michel’s wedding is a perfect example of what I believe wedding photography should be:
- Clear, honest communication from the beginning
- Zero stress for the couple
- Collaboration to create naturally iconic moments
- A luxury, editorial experience—without losing the heart
When couples choose me as local Paris wedding photographer, they get to fully enjoy their day…
And I get to give them a magazine-worthy spread that captures who they truly are.
