Best Tips for Your Parisian Photo Session!
Ah, Paris! I've been living here since July 2020 and I can honestly say that everywhere you look is can be inspiration for your memorable photos. The light and architecture of the city, (along with some pretty famous landmarks) give endless possibilities! You may be wondering where to begin, and what can you really expect during a professionally curated photoshoot in Paris.
Let me share some of my best locations that are in close proximity of each other so you that can maximize your time, not spending too much of it traveling to different shooting locations. Ideally, you should plan for 2-3 hours to get the most out of your photo session, but feel free to plan with your photographer in advance if you need to tweak that a bit.

Avenue des Camoens + Seine River + Café + Street Shots
Imagine yourself on the Avenue des Camoens -a quiet street next to Trocadero, offering fantastic views of the Eiffel Tower surrounded by stunning French architecture. Enjoy your stroll through the streets and along the river Seine then relax at a little cafe and preserve the memory forever!
Place Vendome + Street Shots + Cafe
The area of Place Vendome in Paris is rich in history, culture, and architecture. It's known for luxurious hotels and shopping, which just leave you feeling he classic French vibes! This neighborhood is also known as a hub for fashion, artists, and other creators, so its a perfect place to get creative with your photos!
Your Parisian Hotel or Air Bnb
This can be a stop along the way or an entire destination! If you want to play with flash and feel like you have your own paparazzi moment - Paris hotels and air bnb's can be the perfect place for this to get creative and escape any crowds or inclement weather. We can begin or end our shoot here, grab a bottle of champagne for an extra fun time!
Galleries Lafayette Rooftop + Palais Garnier + Cafe/Street Shots
The Galleries Lafayette Rooftop is hands down my favorite free rooftop view of Paris! From here you can spot the Eiffel Tower and even get a peek of the Arc de Triomphe. Enjoy a short stroll and a cafe stop on the way to the most famous opera house in the world Palais Garnier. The eclectic architecture, with elements of Baroque, Renaissance and more, provides a stunning backdrop, especially for "Phantom of the Opera" fans!
Luxembourg Gardens + Street Shots + Cafe
The Luxembourg Gardens are one of the largest and most beautiful in Paris. There are so many creative possibilities in this one location, featuring not only stunning greenery and flowers, but also romantic marble statues, a pond with tiny vintage sailboats, and several fountains, including the famous 17th century Marie de Medici Fountain. There's even a palace right in the middle of the garden! The Palais de Luxembourg adds the perfect royal touch to your photos in these exquisite gardens!
Pont Alexandre III Bridge + Café + Street Shots to Eiffel Tower
Without a doubt, the Pont Alexandre III Bridge is the most elegant, grandiose, and famous bridge in Paris! Built for the 1900 World's Fair, it crosses the Seine linking the Left and Right Banks of the river. Arrayed with beautiful Art Nouveau lamps, sculptures and views of the Eiffel Tower, it's an ideal spot for wedding and romantic photographs.
Louvre + Tuileries + Palais Royal + Street Shots
The Louvre, the world's most visited (and most photographed!) museum needs no introduction. Your photos in the courtyard of this former 12th century palace along with the famous glass pyramids will be breathtaking! Prefer a more natural setting? You'll love getting some candid shots in the Tuileries Garden with its beautiful flowers, ponds and sculptures. A short walk from the Louvre is the Palais Royal, a former royal palace with interesting architecture and beautiful gardens- another perfect photo spot!
Au Canon Des Invalides + Surrounding Streets
This spot has one of my favorite views of the Eiffel Tower off into the distance surrounded by beautiful cafes and gorgeous streets. This is a great choice if you're looking for a location out of the ordinary but still screams Paris. If the weather is inclement it also makes for quick getaways in covered places!
Montmartre - La Maison Rose + Street Shots + Café
Some of the most charming views in Paris are in Montmartre. This romantic area is located on top of a hill and is full of cobblestone streets, small shops, cafes and art studios. Great artists like Picasso, Renoir and Van Gogh found inspiration here. Famous landmarks include the grand Sacré-Cœur Basilica and La Maison Rose. If you are a romantic or an art lover, this quaint little Parisian neighborhood is the perfect choice to plan your photo session.
Canal St Martin + Street Shots + Café + Locals Corners
The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is romantic and picturesque, and runs through one of the most hip areas of Paris. Stroll along the banks and bridges and stop for some casual photos along the way. The streets along the canal feature art galleries, chic cafés and cocktail bars. This ultra-trendy district is the perfect place to bring out your fun and adventurous side in your photos.
Le Marais + In The Heart Of Paris
The heart of Paris has long been defined as one of the most artistic areas of the city. It's filled with old historic bridges, classic Parisian architecture, cafés and of course the Seine river! This choice is one you can't go wrong with because there's just so much to see!
